Condensation in the thermometer

It does sometimes happen that condensation forms in the thermometer, especially in cold and or humid  weather in the fall. The thermometer in the dome is not completely waterproof. Fortunately, this is not a problem and, for the most part, is easily to get rid of the condensation. We can offer a few tips:

  • Just get started. Chances are that by firing up the bbq the condensation will disappear on its own. After a few uses it is often already less.
  • Put the kamado for a while in the sun.
  • Remove the thermometer from the kamado and put it for a while in the oven at 100 ° C maximum.
  • Place the thermometer in a bowl of rice.
